Autodesk Software Version Policy
All Autodesk software is provided under a subscription licensing model. With an active subscription, customers are entitled to:
- Install and use the latest version
- Access and use up to three previous versions simultaneously
Currently, the latest release is version 2027. Depending on project requirements, customers can install and use versions from 2024 to 2027.
Using multiple versions in parallel ensures flexibility in workflows and compatibility with different project requirements and data formats. All available versions can be accessed and downloaded through the Autodesk Account portal.
License Activation and Management
Autodesk applies a Single-user Subscription model with Named User licensing.
Instead of using Serial Numbers as in the past, software is now activated by signing in with an Autodesk account that has been assigned a license. Therefore, an internet connection is required for the initial activation process.
In restricted network environments, it is necessary to allow access to specific URLs and protocols to ensure proper activation and uninterrupted software usage. For detailed information about required URLs and protocols, please refer to the official Autodesk documentation.
Operating System
To ensure optimal performance in accordance with Autodesk’s policy, users are required to install the software on computers running at minimum Windows 11, as Autodesk has officially announced the discontinuation of product development support for Windows 10.
In particular, please note that starting from version 2023 onward, Autodesk only supports 64-bit Windows operating systems and has completely discontinued support for 32-bit systems. As hardware requirements may vary depending on each specific software product, users are advised to carefully review the System Requirements before installation to ensure the best compatibility.
Important Notes During Usage
Autodesk software performs periodic license verification. To ensure uninterrupted usage, customers must meet at least one of the following conditions:
- Periodic internet connection: After activation, the software can operate offline for up to approximately 30 days. After this period, an internet connection is required to revalidate the license.
- Ensure Autodesk system access: In restricted network environments, required URLs and protocols must be enabled to maintain license status.
In addition, users must log in with the assigned licensed account and maintain appropriate network connectivity to avoid any disruption during software usage.
