Types of AutoCAD Licenses

Currently, Autodesk offers AutoCAD licenses in two formats:

Commercial License

Educational License

Autodesk strives to make AutoCAD accessible to everyone. If you are a teacher or student, you can apply for an Educational License. With a simple registration process and proof of student status, you can access a free AutoCAD license for one year from the activation date.

Once the license expires, if you are still a student, you can repeat the registration process to continue using AutoCAD. Additionally, if you work for a nonprofit or charitable organization, you may also be eligible for a free AutoCAD license. Autodesk offers special programs that grant free licenses to qualified organizations dedicated to social impact and community service.
