OpenSpace is the fastest and easiest way to create a visual record of your construction site. We bring Google Street View specifically to construction. Our key difference is that our solution requires no extra labor or infrastructure: simply wear a 360-degree camera when you want to capture site images - such as during routine inspections or walkthroughs - press "start" on the OpenSpace app, and let it do the work automatically.
The data is stored on AWS. At OpenSpace, we take data security very seriously. We are Privacy Shield certified and even comply with the world's strictest data protection regulations, including the European GDPR. We treat all information stored on our system - regardless of the customer, user, or use case - as equally important and highly sensitive. All customer data is encrypted in transit using TLS encryption and at rest using industry - standard AES 256-bit encryption. Our data is securely stored on AWS.
Once you log in, you need to upload the floor plan. If you're using BIM, you can also upload the model and track progress alongside it.
You can capture as much data as you want. There are no limits on the number of captures or storage capacity on OpenSpace?
Yes! If you are walking through OpenSpace, you can take photos and make notes while walking, and our technology will automatically pin those images and notes to the recorded location - very convenient. We call this feature “Field Notes.” Additionally, you can also take mobile photos (and 360-degree photos) and manually pin them to your floor plan at any time.
Yes. The core of this method is using OpenSpace to walk with a 360 camera, recording video, and mapping all floor plans. However, you can also take 360 photos (as well as phone photos) and pin them directly to floor plans. This is a great way to capture high - resolution images when needed at your job site.
The number of participants is unlimited. Add as many people to the project as you like, from any organization you choose.
OpenSpace is designed to be easy to use, so your existing team members on-site will be the ones capturing the data. Since they are on-site daily, they have the best knowledge of the project and can capture the most relevant information. Most of our customers use their own staff to walk the site. Entrusting data capture to a third party can be sensitive in terms of information security.
The cameras compatible with OpenSpace include Garmin VIRB 360, Insta360 One X, Insta360 One R, and Ricoh Theta Z1 for all capture modes (video, photo). We also support Ricoh 360 cameras for photo mode.

While other 3D capture tools require specialized setup and capturing time, or need experienced photographers to document your job site, OpenSpace stands out by simply mounting a 360 camera on top of a hard hat and continuing normal movement—our AI algorithm takes care of the rest
We provide customized pricing based on the scale of your project. Contact us for a consultation.
We ensure that the camera mount's suction force has been approved by safety managers. You can also walk around the site with a 360 camera on a monopod if you prefer - but the hard hat mount is our recommended method: it keeps your hands free for taking notes and doing useful work.
We integrate with Procore and BIM360. Our integrations include single sign-on, data export, integration with RFIs, and observation workflows.
